"The CoLab provides an awesome space for rapid prototyping! I think rapid prototyping is really transforming mechanical design as it allows for a more iterative design process. Proof of concepts can be made in less than a day using a 3D printer or a laser cutter, and it's really useful to be able to test your designs with a cheap, easy, and quick prototype before committing to machining it. Both the laser cutter and 3D printer have been immensely helpful for my projects, whether I need to prototype a design or I just need a quick low fidelity part as soon as possible."
